Minimal, Authentic, Versatile

Hello, I am Kennedy the creator of Kumé Designs. The name originates from my middle name and my Bachan's (Grandma in Japanese) first name. When my grandparents came from Japan they built their own business and were able to live successfully from it. Being Asian-American and having that as my family background it has inspired me to make my own. I had this idea of leather making after graduating college with a painting degree and feeling stuck not wanting to paint. While still wanting use my artistic skills for something I soon found leather working and decided to give it a try. I learned to really enjoy the hands on and physical process it takes to create each piece. With my work I want to have a more contemporary/minimalist approach that comes with functionality as well. Every piece is handmade with genuine leather!
